Iron & Anemia Screen
Quick at-home or walk-in lab to catch iron deficiency before surgery — plus a repletion plan with a re-check window.
Who this is for
You're a menstruating patient or have a history of low iron, low energy, or heavy periods — and your surgery is more than 6 weeks out.
What this module is
A meaningful share of cosmetic surgery patients arrive at the OR with undiagnosed iron deficiency. It's correlated with worse healing, more transfusions, and longer recovery. This module catches it early enough to do something about it.
What's included
- At-home or walk-in ferritin + CBC + iron studies (Quest or LabCorp)
- Plain-English result interpretation
- Repletion plan if low: oral or IV pathway, dosing, GI tolerance tips
- Re-check window scheduled before your surgery date
- Result card you can hand to your surgeon's coordinator
Frequently asked questions
- Is this a clinical diagnosis?
- No. The labs are real labs ordered by a partnered clinician network. Interpretation and the repletion plan are educational. Final treatment decisions remain with your medical team.
