About Precover
Precover is a free 5-minute pre-op readiness check for people preparing for elective cosmetic surgery. You answer questions about your procedure, medical history, medications, sleep, and nutrition. You get a plain-English readiness summary — Proceed, Prepare, or Pause — and a printable consultation packet to bring to your surgeon.
What Precover does
- Flags GLP-1 medications and calculates conservative hold windows before anesthesia.
- Scores sleep apnea risk using the validated STOP-Bang questionnaire.
- Checks nutrition readiness: protein targets, hydration, alcohol, and supplements.
- Surfaces missing labs and records against your procedure tier.
- Generates a shareable PDF packet for your surgeon's coordinator or anesthesia team.
What Precover is not
Precover is not a medical clearance. The readiness signal is produced by a deterministic rules engine — not a language model — and is informational only. Final decisions about surgery, anesthesia, testing, and medication management remain with your surgeon, anesthesia team, and treating clinicians.
Clinical standards
Every rule has a stable code, a severity tier, the input it reads, and the citation that backs it. Rules are reviewed against society guidelines on a rolling basis.
